Our Hobbies of 2016

Last Wednesday, our group met in an official Hobbies Of Summit to discuss our Hobbies of 2015 and to declare our Hobbies of 2016. After getting pizza, making boozy hot chocolate, and generally avoiding the topic for a few hours, we finally sat down and shared our desired Hobbies of 2016.

Courtney

  • Run 2 half marathons
  • Hand lettering + drawing (1 completed project per week)
  • Learn German
  • Read Bible in its entirety
  • Daily journaling

Jefferson

  • Read 50 books (10 hours long or more in audiobook format; 25  classics)
  • Spend time with family
  • Learn to hunt (deer, rabbit, squirrel)
  • Try reloading

Michael

  • Review completed books
  • Genetic genealogy
  • Repair old photos
  • Fitness

Samantha

  • Read 100 books (12 classic + 12 non-fiction/educational)
  • Run two half marathons and a marathon
  • Learn German
  • Keep a daily journal

A few of our hobbies overlap, and we’re excited to work together to reach our hobbyist goals. In the spirit of this website, I suppose all of our Hobbies of 2016 will be to keep a blog. We’ll be detailing all of the ins and outs of our hobbies here over the next year, whatever that may entail. You might see some old photos restored by Michael, a book review from Jefferson, or a picture of me and Courtney passed out at the Historic Half finish line. Posts will be categorized by each person’s name, so you can read up on all of us, or follow one person’s progress (perfect for those of you taking up stalking as your Hobby of 2016). Thanks for reading and welcome!
